While making Peanut Butter + Banana Ice Cream Sandwiches, I was unexpectedly in a pinch for some oat flour. What may have been an unwelcome surprise was actually a pleasant opportunity to practice resourcefulness.
In true making it up as I go style, I took up the impromptu challenge of making homemade oat flour with what I had on hand, and it was a success! Yes, making your own oat flour is that quick and easy!
After recently making Greek yogurt for the first time with my Instant Pot, I found myself with a container full of whey. I’ve never been in this position before, so I turned to Google and settled upon making a batch of Wheat Whey Chocolate Chip Muffins for my soon to arrive house guests.
Sometimes I just crave dessert. Ok, let’s face it, I usually want dessert. Today, when I looked into my refrigerator, I had some milk and heavy whipping cream that I wanted to use up.
Initially, I started with just making some simple crêpes and filling them with Nutella and topping them off with freshly whipped cream. However, after my initial cravings were addressed, I had a full bowl of crêpe batter and another of whipped cream.
I have tried some amazing Mille Crêpe Cakes, but they were usually very expensive and rich. So, I decided to attempt making a simple one and see how it went.
I love Pie and I love Math. So naturally, every year when Pi Day rolls around on 3.14, I’m all in. This year was one step further with Ultimate Pi Day 3.14.15!
Coincidentally, my friend Nadine visited from Germany, and she not only loves baking (check out her blog here), but she also wanted to surprise her friend who works at Apple. Of course, this meant one thing, and one thing only. We had to bake an Ultimate Apple Inc. (Pi)e!
